Stay home love/son. We need you more than you know. Ireland is dying too many of our youth have gone overseas and trust me on this there is no place like home. When i left for a 6 month sabbatical/busmans holiday i thought i'd never see Belfast again. Miserable isn't the word. No friends no familiar accents totally on my own. I lasted 6 months and ran back to Ireland, everything had changed, i felt like an outsider in my own town. Every coffee shop was staffed by foreigners in the city centre every building site had foreign labourers. I couldn't even get a job for 4 weeks in my own town on sites. When i say busmans holiday i was actually forced to go to Britain by a firm i was subbed to, a British firm bought the firm i was subbing for and they shifted me over to Britain to over see a re-furb. Stay here take a hi-end degree don't take up construction as a job, its only a quick fix and regular wage. Don't piss your life away down a ditch, you will regret it

I am looking to have a career as a CRNA, does it really matter what Major I choose to get my Bachelors degree

I am looking to have a career as a CRNA, does it really matter what Major I choose to get my Bachelors degree?
Does it Really matter what Major I choose to receive my bachelors degree in as long as I take the required courses to enter graduate school for the specialty program of Nurse Anesthetist? I currently attend USA I already have a grant for a 4 year degree, so I'm headed there for sure, not looking for an associates. But I'm thinking If i major in a science..but not nursing, after my bachelors I would go for a graduate program for CRNA

Well, it's best if you hold a BSN - Bachelor of Science in Nursing. One way or another you need to hold an RN license, and that can be earned with either an Associate's Degree or the BSN. If you only get the ADN you need to complete a bachelor's degree in something, so it might as well be nursing. But CRNA programs do accept ADN level RNs who hold a bachelors in another field, like biology, psychology, or any number of other degrees. What you could do is go for the ADN in nursing, earn your degree and license, get a job with an employer that offers tuition reimbursement and finish your BSN while working and getting that 1-2 years of experience working in an ICU (required to get into a CRNA program). You can't just get any old degree and take a few pre-reqs and expect to get into a CRNA program. You must be an RN and have work experience in critical care.
