N or BSN
N or BSN????????????????????
I am deciding whether to get an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. I am an international student in the USA. I thought of getting my RN(Registered Nurse) license, and changing my visa to a working visa. But before that I would still have to get a J1 waiver. Do you think I have better chances with a BSN Degree? Or would Associate's work also? MUST??? I hope you are sure about it, cos I will rely on the info you are giving me. And then another question. Will I be considered for H1B??? I thought there is something called H1C for nursing personnel? No? What do you mean by I can't change my F-1 visa to H1B while being in the States? That's the first time I've heard that :O

You MUST have a BSN. An RN with an AS is not enough for you to get an H1B.
2 :
To be petitioned by US Employer as eligible for H1B visa, the minimum education is bachelor's degree. H1C has been not renewed after it expired in Dec. 2009.
3 :
H1B I believe is for BSNs with a specialty and experience. As a new grad you would have to return home after passing the NCLEX and apply for a work visa. Due to retrogression you would be looking at a wait of several years. You cannot change what type of visa you are on while still in the country. Check out the International Forum @ allnurses.com.

What is the purnishment in court for communicating treat and second degree tresspass
What is the purnishment in court for communicating treat and second degree tresspass?
Why is the justice system so corrupt?. I burst into tears in court when a group of police men gave false witnesses against me. Can money buy off a judge, lawyers, and police men in USA?These are the people that are surpose to protect the people. "I am not guilty of telling my ex-friend that "I will kill him" Two big coorperations I am trying to expose are using him to drive me away from Winston Salem , they want to give me a criminal record that will destroy my education. Communicating treat is a criminal record and I can never get my BSN in nursing . They bought my ex-boyfriend off with money, he raped me and went to court and tell lies about me. I am writing a book about these cooperations because I am a poor student and can not fight them in court. my only chance is to write a book about the discrimination against poor patients at the hospital where I work. I want to know what is the purnishment I will get if I pleade guilty. Dont tell me not to because I am going to , and I am telling the court appointed lawyer to back off.. My goal is to plead guilty on the 30th even though I never said those words. Society dont care about the poor, especially a poor student who is trying so hard to get an education.I rather be in jail and write my book than to live in this corrupt society. Will they send me to jail if I plead guilty? I know nothing about the law system. Please lawyers help in explaining my purnishment to me..

What was the treat? Next time offer chocolate, it's nearly universally enjoyed. Also, you're paranoid or slow. Assuming you weren't suffering of diarrhea of the mouth and this happened, to receive a good answer you would need to include the state this occurred in and your criminal record.

UK citizen wants to work in the USA...what profession should I go inn
UK citizen wants to work in the USA...what profession should I go inn?
Hi I would like to move to US for a lengthy period of time eventually residing there :) however I know this is very difficult to do :/.......Anyway I always had the idea that I would go in to teaching and when I graduate I can go straight over as it is classed as a profession, I now realised it is a lot more complicated than it sounds..... What professions are wanted out there..what field should I go in to, I don't mind putting the effort/studying in if it means I can get to my dream. btw. although I've got a degree (in Sports Studies) im not the brightest so please don't put nursing and doctors thanks for reading

Sorry, but we DO need doctors (GPs and OB-GYNs) especially; engineers, computer programmers, etc. The rest we grow ourselves. Just sayin'
2 :
Let's run down your qualifications and reasoning one more time: 1. You think it would be good to live in the USA 2. You have no expertise in any area outside of sports. 3. You think that being a teacher will get you here, but you don't know what you would teach, or have any particular passion for a subject or a technical skill. 4. You admit to not being the brightest of minds. Geez - You'd fit right in. Good luck!
3 :
How about you get into a profession that's slowly shipping its workers overseas to the UK. Then you can go right back where you came from and quit doing your part to over-inflate the population in my country...... prick.....
4 :
Nursing is absolutely in demand........or any other Degree in the medical field requiring a bachelor's for that matter.
5 :
Pick a visa There are basically NINE ways that you can get a visa to live and work in the US: (1) Marriage (or engagement in anticipation of marriage) to a US citizen. (2) You have skills that are in short supply in the US e.g. scientific or medical training. A degree is normally a must. Or you have superior specialist skills with at least 12 years experience. (H visas) (3) You have an Employer who is willing to transfer you - but even the employer has to make a good case for you - so you have to be a manager unless you fall under category (2) above.(L visas) (4) You may get a Green card in the diversity lottery (UK citizens, except N.Ireland, are not generally eligible unless you, your spouse or parents were born abroad or held a different citizenship. (5)You own or buy business (does not get you permanent resident status i.e. no green card)You must be a national of a qualifying Treaty countries. The business must have a minimum value of around $150k (more the better) bearing in mind you will need somewhere to live and with any startup business you will need at least 2 years living money as back up. So a figure of $350k would be a nearer minimum (E-2 visas) (6)You are an "investor" i.e. you have at least US $1m in assets to bring with you. half of that in a few areas. And your background will be investigated to the hilt. (EB-5 visas) (7)You have a close relative (mother, father, brother, sister and no further) who is an US citizen who would sponsor you, approx time this take 2-12 years? (8.The R1 visa is available to foreign members of religious denominations, having bona fide non-profit religious organizations in the U.S., for entering the U.S. to carry on the activities of a minister or religious worker as a profession, occupation or vocation (9)THE UNUSUAL You are in a position to claim refugee status/political asylum. or You get a member of Congress to sponsor a private bill with legislation that applies just to you. The S visa issued to persons who assist US law enforcement to investigate and prosecute crimes and terrorist activities such as money laundering and organized crime Recruitment agent will not take you seriously if you are not already in the US. Writing for jobs is really a waste of time; likewise US employers have no idea what foreign qualification are or mean (except Degrees) it may pay you to get your qualification translated into a US equivalent, there are Companies that do this (www.wes.org) .. But if you are getting a visa under (2) above then you need a job offer before you can get the visa. Your Employer will be your sponsor this will cost them upward of $5k. So you can see you have to be offering something really special to get considered They may also have to prove to the Dept of labor that there is no American who can do the job if the position is to be permanent ©
