Are you talking about college tuition to become a nurse? That varies from school to school. You could spend as little as $20,000 for a public state college or as much as $100,000 for a prestigious private university in the USA. I don't know about Canada.

Will being a male, having come recently to USA, and having good grades affect my chances to go to college

Will being a male, having come recently to USA, and having good grades affect my chances to go to college?
I'd like to know if mentioning these facts might make me a more attractive candidate to admission nursing college counselors. Being a male? I came to the US about 2 years ago and I am doing well at school. I am undecided ,however,on wether or not I should mention my outstanding progress on my application (I did not know very much english when I came. I was still able to keep up.) Thank you for answering.

Gender won't matter and unless you're an illegal immigrant, colleges should love you if you have good grades and 'outstanding progress.' Your college application should reflect as much achievement as it should for the past four years of high school. Don't be so modest, show off if you've got the talent.
2 :
The US has rules against using things such as gender for admissions. Yes, they would love to diversify the class and add males, but they have to be competent. You'll have to compete like every other applicant.
3 :
Nursing is no longer a "female profession"....there are many male nurses! So no, sorry, won't make you "more attractive"....only high grades!!!!!!!!

To become a doctor in the US, first you need to get a bachelors degree. Major in anything and take the premed classes. You can do this at any 4-year college or university. After that, you apply to medical school. That's another 4 years. Johns Hopkins, Harvard, UPenn, and Washington St. Louis are the best schools for medicine. And then you do another 3+ years of residency at another school/hospital.
2 :
you can go to community college for an AA if you want and then transfer to a university. Bachelors degree is needed to get into medical school. also, what specific area in the medical field do you want to study? is it pediatrics ? neurosurgery? Medical school basically gives you the basic foundation for your medical career. But where you really learn to be a medical doctor is in your residency. Your residency is where you should really focus on because you want to get the best training in the best hospital

Sorry I do not understand your english. And by the way this is a a UK site,.
2 :
You'll never make it as a nurse in the US with spelling like that. You need to be able to write with proper English when doing patient charts.
3 :
You would have to apply for a nursing license in the state in which you wanted to work. Th ye would assess your education, experience and language skills to determine if you were eligible to write the NCLEX exam. If you passed all that then you would get nursing license. Your English is very poor so you have difficulty passing the fluency exams as they are both written and oral. The bigger stumbling block would be getting a Green Card so you could legally work in the US.Currently it about a 5 year wait.
4 :
there are no visa for aupair or nurses Nurse green card visas were stopped in 2006 ...
5 :
First, you need to have a green card to get a job. If you are here on a temporary visa, you cannot work as a nurse. Second, if you have a green card, then you will need to improve your English skills and pass the NCLEX exam to obtain a nursing license. Even though you were trained and worked as a nurse in your country, procedures and laws here are different. You should consider enrolling in a nursing program here so that you can update your skills and learn English needed for your job as a nurse.
