Is it OK to start a GF/BF relationship overseas? (Philippians)?
Hey everyone, I met a girl on a online dating site and I have known her since March. We haven't been exactly talking to each other day by day, sometimes it's because we are busy, but mostly it's because we are an 8 hour difference. You can imagine, I hope. But still, I try my best to talk with her when I can. I really like her a lot. She's pretty, smart, and types English very well. Plus she has college degree in nursing, which is a big plus. She is 23. I'm 20. I started out wanting just to be friends from this site, but I somehow feel different, like I, "like like" her. Here's my issues. She lives in the the Philippians and I'm in the USA. Is it worth (and I mean that word "worth" to the up-most respect here, I'm not using it as a sarcasm) starting a relationship with her? I have heard in the past, like 10,15 years ago, that long distance relationships don't really work out. But I've done my research here on Yahoo Answers and the answers are now in favor of those who experienced it, like it is more than possible. (Personally, I believe people today are willing to do more crazier stuff now then before). I need answers to this question. Another issue I have with her is response time. It seems kinda slow for me. Like weekly or every few days. But then I'm thinking that this will all change once she realizes that this communication between us will have to increase. Still, this is all speculation. Does anyone with experience know if this will happen, the increase of response time? Or not? I'm not sure if Filipina ladies are different with response time then American ladies, but. OK! So does anyone have answers to my questions? And can you please answer the question, not go off into something that doesn't pertain to the topic, please? This is specifically for those who have that bad habit. Also info on what expect from a Filipina relationship is a big bonus for me. Thank you all for taking the time to read my question.

Yes it is. You can make anything work if you put your mind to it. Ignore what everyone else says. Its not their business. Try talking to each other more like online, phone, by webcam etc. Maybe plan a meeting to meet each other one day. Good luck

"if" u step up ur game well then she'll respond quickly then..ever heard of SMS?? =) a long distance wouldn't matter tat much as long as u guys got plans to meet really at some point and see where the relationship could take you. expectations..umm..big family gatherings left and right, good food everytime, kinda jealous type..u need to reassure her everytime that its all good plus umm.."if" u catch her, u really do! did u catch my drift? =) faithful, won't bang another even when ur in milky way!!! lol jus don't cheat =P
