It depends where the MSN degree was done, how much experience in nursing, the level of experience you have, and depending on the state you may have to demonstrate your nursing skills by taking the nursing boards. In addition you may be asked to take an English test such as TOEFL, IELTS, or another type of test to demonstrate you level of English is sufficient to properly care for patients. Best advice for you is to contact the state board of nursing in the state you would like to be a nurse and ask what their requirements are for a nurse with a MSN degree from your country.

Can a RN (registered nurse) get a TN VISA with an Associate Degree?
My friend has an Associate Degree in Nursing and a RN license from USA to work as a nurse. Both AAS degree and BSN degree can work as NURSE. Is there an immigration rule that one needs a BSN degree only to get a TN VISA?

If it's been a while since you were in school, you may want to consider taking an NCLEX course to refresh. Even if you've specialized, the test is over everything.

She needs to contact the Board of Nursing in the state in which she wants to work. They will tell her how to proceed. They will assess her education and experience and decide if she is eligible to write the NCLEX.If she passes she will be granted a nursing license for that state.

My name is Van Le, 38 yrs.I'm a nurse in Vietnam with Bachelor's degree.I had been 15 years experience in Cancer hospital , 1 year as a tutor of Nursing Department of Medicine University. I have been a Paramedic of Global Medical Service Department of International SOS for 15 months. I want to get the job as a nurse in USA but I do not know how to get my goal. Please let me know.
