How can you get an accounting-related job even though you have not worked in the field for a long time?
Ok,
so here's the deal. I have an Accounting Degree in the Philippines and
have worked there as a Junior Accountant for over 2 years. I quit the
job (2007) prior to coming here to USA with my husband. I spent almost 6
months doing job hunting. I did monster, career-builder & other
sites. Unfortunately still wasn't able to land one. Thus, decided for
now to work as a part time in retail just to have an extra pocket money
for I also have a son to nurse with. I was wondering what do I needed to
do in order to get my feet in the door? Your suggestions would be
greatly appreciated. thanks

Mobsters
are always looking for good accountants to help their money look legit.
Start out in your local pizza shops, race tracks etc. ask around but be
careful not to seem like the IRS.
