Can a Canadian LPN work in the USA as a travel nurse? Or do you have to be an RN

I would like to work in the states as an LPN and so far I have only found information for RN's wanting to work in the USA. I would like to do it as an assignment with a travel nurse company. Any suggestions or websites would be greatly appreciated.

I believe if you have gotten your LPN degree in Canada, you may need to find out if you need to get one in the US. I don't believe they carry over from country to country. I used to work as a CNA and if I wanted to work as one in a different state, I had to get a CNA liscense in that state. I am not sure which website(s) to check out but I hope this was of some help.

In the U.S., being a LPN and a RN are not even close in comparison...it takes 3 to 4 years to become a RN here...and you have to pass "State Boards" to even get your license....I am not even sure what a travel nurse is...but as an RN, I have told you what I know...You can be a LPN at almost any place, but being Canadian you might have a problem with the licensing policy.. good luck
