I heard that John Hopkins is good but i went on their web site and said they were only had nursing and medicine is that the same thing as becoming a doctor?

To become a doctor in the US, first you need to get a bachelors degree. Major in anything and take the premed classes. You can do this at any 4-year college or university. After that, you apply to medical school. That's another 4 years. Johns Hopkins, Harvard, UPenn, and Washington St. Louis are the best schools for medicine. And then you do another 3+ years of residency at another school/hospital.

you can go to community college for an AA if you want and then transfer to a university. Bachelors degree is needed to get into medical school. also, what specific area in the medical field do you want to study? is it pediatrics ? neurosurgery? Medical school basically gives you the basic foundation for your medical career. But where you really learn to be a medical doctor is in your residency. Your residency is where you should really focus on because you want to get the best training in the best hospital
