Should i Stay here in USA to get my AS degree in nursing (RN) or is it better for me to go to the Philippines?
At this point of my life i am a little confused in what decision i should make. Should i stay here in the US and become an RN or should i go back to the philippines and become an RN? How long would it take me to become an RN in the philippines vs how long it would take to become one here in the US? I am not asking for BSN. Serious Answers please. this is a very big decision for me since going to Phils will have many sacrifices to make.

Depending where you are staying will be the big factor in your decision. In the Philippines, there will be a lot more sickness there then there is here due to poor living conditions. You will probably be under more stress while nursing there then you are here and will probably benefit you more.

A nursing degree in the Philippines may not be accepted in the U.S. If you are planning on living and working in the U.S. after getting your degree, I would suggest going to a community college here. It will take about two years of full-time study to earn your associate's degree in nursing. Once you have the degree, you will be eligible to sit for the NCLEX exam. If you pass, you will be a registered nurse and will be able to work at hospitals and clinics in the state where you are registered.
