They may accept your diploma, although a four year degree is stronger, but you may have trouble getting a work visa. Check with the French Consulate in Washington. good luck

Well last time i checked, being in the 10th grade does not qualify you as a R.N. and it is against the law to pose as one when your not!!!!!

One week ago you said you were 16 years old. Did you start college at age 10? An American BSN degree may be accepted if you can pass their license examination and speak fluent French.

Would Canada and/or the USA allow you to work with a degree from Finland
Would Canada and/or the USA allow you to work with a degree from Finland?
Education is free in places like Finland and Norway and probably others... but if a Canadian or American went there to go to school and then came back to North America.. would their degree be recognized if it is from Finland or Norway? Would some degrees be ok but not others? -social work degree -psychology degree -nursing degree -teaching degree

Sure. A degree is a degree.
2 :
Check with the state Dept. Of Education, office of the professions.

no. youb ahev to have some wierd thing, but obviously you dont have it. so youd have to come here and do it all over if you really wanted to. cuz, like theres docs from like india who are WAY WAY WAY WAY SWAYWA WYAWAYWYAYAYW better than docs here, but since they dont have a degree for here, they cant do anything, it was oliema total waste of time :)

I think you're on to something with the list. Specific locations require specific certifications. I know a teacher from Florida who wasn't allowed to teach in another state until she received a specific certification. But there is no global convention for normal jobs - such as office work / wall street etc. It's just a matter of convincing the employers of your qualifications. Now, in America, we do require work visas (green cards) - which has nothing to do with a degree. I don't believe they are hard to get if you are a skilled worker - but I've never tried - being American by birth.

Hello, I vote for Pharmaceutica manufacturing. You've just got to find the right niche and your skills will be very valuable. Here's an article I wrote on this a while back: http://www.pharmamanufacturing.com/articles/2005/354.html p.s. You can always find a nursing job, but is it really what you want to do with your career?

I am in India and interested in doing nursing course? Pls tell me what degree I needed to be a nurse in US?
I want to do a nursing degree which can help me to be a nurse in USA. Previously I had done my under graduation in Commerce. In my town there is couple of hospital/Universities which offers General Nursing courses(which is of 3 years and after that I have to do 1 year job in same hospital). This hospital/Univesity is approoved by "Indian Nursing Council". Can somebody advice me what is the procedure of being a nurse in US but getting degree in India. Thanks

In the U.S. nurses must meet certain licensing requirements. If there is an area of the U.S. in which you wish to work you may want to contact the licensing agency in that particular state to check requirements. Another thing you could check are curriculum's of a few nursing colleges. There are two types of nursing degrees, LPN and RN. The LPN requires an Associates Degree or ASN and can be obtained in 2 years at some community colleges. The RN requires a BSN or Bachelors Degree in Nursing and takes 4 years to complete. When you check curriculum's you may want to email those schools and perhaps send the curriculum in India and compare the two programs. I don't recall having met any nurses from India but there are many doctors from your country working here. I am sure some of them came to the U.S. with their MD's.
