would be finifhing my masters degree next years. despite the blessings
in my career, im still eager to try my luck outside philippines while
waiting for my immigrant visa from usa. it is so difficult since im also
considering a work place wherein i could live happily with my salesman
husband. im done with my ielts, nclex, haad.. im just thinking what
country is best among the 3. considering the salary and cost of living..

How can you get an accounting-related job even though you have not worked in the field for a long time?
Ok, so here's the deal. I have an Accounting Degree in the Philippines and have worked there as a Junior Accountant for over 2 years. I quit the job (2007) prior to coming here to USA with my husband. I spent almost 6 months doing job hunting. I did monster, career-builder & other sites. Unfortunately still wasn't able to land one. Thus, decided for now to work as a part time in retail just to have an extra pocket money for I also have a son to nurse with. I was wondering what do I needed to do in order to get my feet in the door? Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Mobsters are always looking for good accountants to help their money look legit. Start out in your local pizza shops, race tracks etc. ask around but be careful not to seem like the IRS.

Is a good decision to study in Philippines?
Im a sophomore High school student in California with a 3.9 gpa at the moment. I got a choice for college, go to UC Davis or go to University of Santo Tomas in Philippines. I want to go to UC Davis but my problem is that I will get a huge debt. What I want is small debt. My mom is a nurse and my dad works in a car manufacturing and doesnt get paid as much as my mom. and we have a lot of stuff to pay. (house, car, etc.) My parents want me to go to philippines cause it's much cheaper. But I want a world class university like UC Davis. My plan for college is to get a degree in Biology and then go to a med school for a doctorate degree. If i will study in Philippines, i will have to go to med school in there as well. If here, I would go to University of California San Francisco. Eventually in the future i would like to have a job here in USA. So is it a good decision to study in Philippines instead in UC Davis?

You need to study here. A medical degree from the Phillipines will require more work here which will end up costing you more money. Have you applied for a scholarship at UC Davis? If your parents do not make that much you will get one.
