I have a 3 years nursing degree from Cuba,?
what is that equivalent to, here in the US? I want to get into a Nurse Practitioner program and need to know if this is BSN or not her in the USA

Hello, in the U.S. a registered nurse is required to have a 4-year degree. The nurse practitioner program requires additional education with a masters. I am sure if you apply to masters programs with your degree as a transfer student you will be admitted. After all, Cuban education is much better than what you find here.

One Year Nursing If i already have Associate's degree in Health?
is there a program for clinical professionals (i'm an x-ray tech) in the USA that's less than the 2 years needed for nursing? i already have the math, english, A+P, Phlebotomy, Health Sciences, etc. can i go for one year? i've been in the field for 10 years now, does my job experience count for any clinical?

Although some of the general studies classes will count most of it will not and it would still take you at least 18 months if not the whole 2 years. Your job experience would not count toward any clinicals as they are very different jobs.

Kathi is correct. Nursing is a unique profession and your work experience was not as a nurse, so no it will not count under the requirements set forth by numerous professional agencies which credential the education programs and help set standards for the state boards of nursing to determine eligibility for licensure as an RN. And the Assoc. Degree programs are usually structured so that the courses are sequential and must be completed in 2 years and no less.

I am 33 & trying to be a student nurse, is it possible? I live in Asia & want to find a nursing school in USA
I am 33 & trying to be a student nurse, is it possible? I live in Asia & want to find a nursing school in USA?
Is it possible to find a job after the training? I don't have Science background. But I have a bachelor degree. Does it count some scores? Anyone who knows the answer please help! I want to stay in the states of NJ or PA where I have some friends there.

I don't know about those areas but Fitchburg State in Fitchburg, Mass has a great nursing program. It is a state college so cheaper than most. They help with placement or they did years ago.

you can become a nurse at any age once you have completed nursing school and pass ur nclex . nursing is a great field with high demand, great pay, and flexibility like no other career offers .

There is a high demand now for nurses, the health care profession period. I'm 28, currently in nursing school and see alot of people that are older then me attending college. Sounds corney but It really never is too late to stop learning. Good luck!
