Would you like to join the lottery?
From today on also in the UAE will be possible what's common in the USA since a couple years already. Thousands of work visas for certain fields (i. e .IT professionals, nurses, etc.) will be giving out through a "lottery". Means, it doesn't matter no more what's your nationality, degree, etc, you just have to get lucky to be drawn. This visa "lottery" will take effect from today. Will you join?

thats how i got my residence to get into the usa. My mother apply for the lottery and we won it 4 yrs ago.

it is a luck! now a days, the many people out of there jobs, so it is a not bad idea, but any way i believe, if you are not enough qualified and you had a chance to be in draw, any time you might be jobless. not much i trust to the lotteries or to any type of gambling, coz myself i had been never won anything, so for sure i would need to find harder way. Actually i like this question.

I've already worked in UAE for 3 years, no thanks. I don't feel like spending another 3 years dealing with prostitutes on every street corner, glue sniffing Indians and gay Emrati men offering me money to be gay with them.

Any scheme for those who lost their jobs during this month or are already in the grace period and are still unsuccessful in finding a new job????

H, do you have any links for further info on this? The company i am working for brings us in on Mission Visa's. These are 90 days, then we have to fly home, await the next being issued, and fly back. I assume these are residents visa's, so they last 3 years? I would join, that way i could be tax exempt in the UK, the current way its working, if i spend more than 90 days in the UK in any tax year (april - april) i am subject to all of the tax on my earnings. Also it makes getting a phone line possible in our apartment, the ability to trade my english driving licence for a UAE one. I would not have to go for a medical every 3 months that way too, at 250dhs a time its not the cheapest thing in the world!

by whom? none can live for in the UAE with out a job. so are they offering jobs? and they pick people by lottery? that's bad, especially if you are talking about professionals required. that's complete craziness. imagine being treated by doctor who got the job by lottery! he might be a the worse ever, yet he must get a job cause he won it?!
